Molly Dario

Molly Dario is a Los Angeles-based filmmaker whose artwork explores the tension between unmediated reality and hyperreality. She explores desire, technology, communication to the natural and unnatural, all while denoting symbols to both past and future worlds. Combining numerous art forms—including storytelling, performance art, set design, video editing, and special effects— her worlds are arranged to ultimately pursue abstract thought, existential understanding, day-to-day complacency, and finally to provoke the esoteric. Her artwork is for anyone looking for a stretch to the brain, and perhaps a comfort in human ambiguities.
